I’m baaaack!

It’s 2013!

Five weeks away from the AMI Round the Bays, where I’ll be running the 7km. That’s my first goal for the year: Complete the 7km leg. (There’s a Half Marathon too). I’ve been training since November last year, and can now run 20mins non stop. I’m really nervous because running is hard and not really fun but excited to complete something I never thought I could do. I have to bump up the training to four days a week from now on (was doing three) which will help me run this in under 90mins.

My second goal is to lose the last ten kg. The scale has been bouncing around, but my shape hasn’t changed and I’m stronger. So maybe it’s muscle? The way to get to there is pretty simple; clean up the eating. Being back at work, back in routine makes it simple so I’m just going to keep up what has worked in the past, and work harder at the gym. As my PT said to me last week, I have to kick things up a gear now, so the running and new intensity of training will really help me achieve this.

My third goal is to blog here once a week. I used to blog every day when I was on another site so it should be easy to get back into the habit πŸ˜‰ Having a record of this part of my journey will be great to read back on too.

My fourth goal is a boring money one: save enough money for my flights to the UK by the end of March and $2000 saved by October 1st. I want to have a GREAT holiday with my family without the stress of money on my mind!Β
